WHO WANTS TO PLEIN-AIR PAINT!

LRWG Summer Plein Air Painting

Would you like to try plein air painting this summer but do not want to go out on your own? Sam Frank and Susan Clancy Kelly are organizing some informal Plein Air painting sessions in June and July with a focus on enjoying painting in the outdoors with a group of artists. There is no class or tuition, just an opportunity to paint with others. The cost is free, except where there is an entry fee to the location.

We plan to meet every Wednesday during June and July from 9 am-12 noon in various forests, parks, and conservation areas in Lake and McHenry Counties.

You will need to bring: a folding chair, your art supplies and water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and a sun umbrella and/or a sunhat are also advisable. We advise wearing closed-toe shoes or boots suitable for walking, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt, as we will be in grassy and forested areas.

Please note: Participation is at your own risk. The organizers assume no liability for accidents or damage.

Eight sessions are scheduled over June and July. If you are planning to come on a specific day, please text either Sam or Susan the day before so we will know to look out for you.
